Fostering Connection at the Curious Builder Collective
When it comes to business (of all kinds), we believe that collaboration is essential to success. We created the Curious Builder Collective to facilitate this collaborative innovation for the building and construction trades. At our most recent event, builders and remodelers from across Minnesota gathered to discuss topics that were both practical and applicable.
The Event
The collective was a melting pot of expertise, with 60% remodelers and 40% builders in attendance. The mix of experience levels in attendance- including seasoned veterans like Don Forsman and up-and-comers like Bel Cruz- lent a dynamic energy to the conversation. The event had nine different tables with experts available to answer questions and discuss ideas, fostering an invaluable exchange of ideas.
Building Business Networking Community
As discussions unfolded, it became evident that the Curious Builder Collective was more than just an event—it was an opportunity to create meaningful connections and drive industry-wide progress. One standout theme emerged from the conversations: the importance of being compensated for design work. This shared struggle underscored the need for solidarity among builders, remodelers, and sponsors alike.
Future Resources
While there were no formal speakers, the exchange of ideas was prolific, generating a wealth of concepts and information. These concepts, ranging from practical strategies to high-level insights, will serve as invaluable resources for all of us as we navigate our individual businesses.
What's Next
With upcoming events scheduled, including one on June 14th at Glass Art Design in Minneapolis, the Curious Builder Collective invites builders and remodelers to join in the lively discussions, networking opportunities, and professional development sessions.
