Top Curious Builder Podcast Episodes: Our Favorites and Fan Favorites
The Curious Builder Podcast has already been the ride of a lifetime, and we’re just getting started! Launched on December 22, 2022, and now having just shared our 80th episode (can you believe it?) The Curious Builder showcases inspiring stories and expert insights from the world of building and design. While it’s hard to play favorites, we wanted to highlight a few of our most loved episodes and favorite moments!
Getting Started
While so many moments stand out, there was something really exciting about the early days! Recording that first episode when nobody knew what they were doing was so much fun. The thrill of securing sponsors and setting a launch date added fuel to the fire, and we just knew we were onto something really special!
Another memorable beginning was our first live event with Jackson Schwartz (Episode 18). This night was a career highlight, set at a fantastic venue and riding high on energy. The event was sold out thanks to the support of friends and colleagues, and it has inspired so many ideas for future gatherings to bring people together!
Best Moments
Every episode has some unforgettable moments! While everyone loves a funny story, some of my favorites are when a guest shares about a failure in their career. We’ll all fall down and there’s something so humanizing and inspiring about hearing how other experts in the industry have overcome their business setbacks.
One of my favorite moments was interviewing Mark Ostrom and hearing about his mission to help disabled kids. His story was so moving. Another favorite was hearing the immigration stories from Bel Cruz (Episode 54) and Alex Lelch (Episode 39). The resilience and strength that came through in their stories were beyond inspiring.

Lessons Learned from Hosting The Curious Builder
Hosting The Curious Builder Podcast has been such an incredible journey! I’m learning from these building industry pros alongside the audience, and one of the most important lessons has been the power of listening. Learning to ask shorter questions and then allowing the guests to share their stories has been a game changer (don’t judge me on this too harshly though- it’s a new skill)!
It's inspiring to hear how business owners navigate their challenges and successes, and how many of us are struggling through the same things. Hosting the podcast is beyond energizing for me, I love it! Most of all, it’s a reminder that everyone’s story deserves to be celebrated.
